All Breed Dog Grooming

All dogs can be groomed to breed standard or custom cut to your wishes. Dogs can have anything from a gentle tidy up to a full make over! I can also do short haircuts for comfort and easy maintenance.

In 2006 I graduated from Groomadog Academy.  I studied under Master Groomer Kathy Saunders. My patterns and breed styling are fashioned after her instruction.  My studies included an emphasis on terrier, cocker, and sporting breeds, all of which has added to the styling I use today.  I am a registered member of the National Dog Groomers Association and The National Cat Groomers Institute of America, Inc.

All breed cuts require some hand scissoring.  Shaping the coat of a small dog such as a Poodle or Bichon Frise takes one to two hours in addition to the time spent brushing, bathing, and drying. Large dogs take 2 to 3 hours more.  I limit the appointments to ensure that every dog get the attention they deserve, and with the emphasis on a non-rushed one on one grooming session on each and every animal.

Full Groom

This is my most popular service - it includes a thorough bath using a specialty dog shampoo and conditioner to suit your dogs’ skin and coat type.  Your dog is then blown dry using a dryer where the power level can be adjusted depending on the dogs temperment. Your dogs’ ears are cleaned and plucked and their nails are clipped. Your dog is then groomed to your wishes.  All cross breeds are welcome and suitable styles will be suggested.

Bath and Blow Dry

This includes a thorough bath using specialist dog shampoo and conditioner to suit your dog’s skin and coat type. Your dog is then blown dry and has a luxurious leave-in conditioner brushed into their coat so that they stay looking and smelling nice for longer!

Skin and Flea Treatments

I have shampoo designed to treat most common skin problems such as itching, dryness, flea bites, and some modest medical problems as well. After a thorough shampooing and massage with the appropriate conditioners, your pet will look and feel like a new dog again.

FURminator Treatments

FURminator Shampoo and Crème Rinse is a high quality shampoo enriched with Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids, plus other vitamins and proteins to help promote healthier skin, a shiny topcoat, and reduce excessive shedding.  This intense shampoo and brushing process reduces shedding up to 90 percent by removing the loose, dead undercoat without damaging the topcoat.  FURminator helps brings out the pet’s natural oils, promoting healthier skin and a shiny topcoat.

Bathing

All dogs are thoroughly brushed, nails are trimmed, and ears and eyes cleaned before the bath. My basic shampoo is Kelco Gold, a high quality protein rich shampoo designed to improve the overall health of your dog’s coat.  I work the shampoo evenly into the dog's coat and gently scrub with a soft brush, penetrating the coat to the skin, insuring absolute cleanliness.

Toenails

Clipping of nails is included with a bath or haircut.  Nail grinding with Dremel is also available for $10.00 extra.
